VOTE ALEX BASTANI

My name is Alex Bastani, I am a thirty year member of the Virginia State Bar, a graduate of Virginia public schools, and a thirty year card carrying union member including over a decade as a local union President. I am announcing that I am running for the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia because we cannot risk the future of our state and our nation on the same Democratic leadership who put Trump in the White House and Youngkin in the Governor’s mansion. I am running for Lieutenant Governor because having a family for many Virginians has become a luxury item. I am running for Lieutenant Governor because increases in work productivity over the past forty years is almost four times greater than pay raises for workers. I am running for Lieutenant Governor because the defense of greed is called moderation where calls for decency are considered extremist. I am running for Lieutenant Governor because we live in a time where a corporation is a person, and a person is an expendable human resource. I am running on agenda as we approach 250 years of American independence for the same freedoms for working Virginians that our lawmakers have granted to corporations. As your next Lieutenant Governor, I will introduce the Virginia Workers Freedom Act which we will enact by our nation’s birthday which rests on the courage and ultimate sacrifice of so many Virginians.
